The first Georgian olive oil will be exported to the EU. Giorgi Svanidze, Head of the “Georgian Olive”, said at Business Course that the target export market is the Netherlands where the Georgian olive oil is sold in the supermarket. In addition, the launch of the product is planned in Kazakhstan and Russia as well.
“In September-October we will get the product and we will export it by March-April,” they say at the company. Giorgi Svanidze says that initially 60 000 kg of products will be exported.
As for the Georgian market, at this stage Georgian olive oil is in almost all supermarkets and sale is high.
The realization of the first Georgian olive oil started in May. The company “Georgian olive” is in Sighnaghi region, the olive plantation is built on 250 hectares of land.
