The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) may become shareholder of JSC Nenskra Hydro.
The European Bank is considering investing 15 million USD in the capital of the company.
Besides that, the EBRD plans provision of a senior secured loan of US$ 214 million to JSC Nenskra Hydro to finance the development and construction of a 280 MW Nenskra HPP on the Nenskra and Nakra rivers in the Svaneti region in north-western Georgia.
According to the European Bank, the issue will be considered at the Board on November 29.
The total project cost is 1,083 billion USD.
To note, the investment supports JSC Nenskra Hydro in development and construction of a hydro power plant with the total installed capacity of 280 MW on the Nenskra and Nakra rivers in the Svaneti region in north-western Georgia.
