Davos’16: Indian Hotel Network TATA Plans to Increase its Business Activities in Georgia

Indian company Tata Sons Ltd intends to increase the volume of investments made in Georgia – within the frames of Davos World Economic Forum, the meeting was held today between the Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili and the chairman of TATA SONS LTD, Cyrus P. Mistry.

During the meeting it was decided that Cyrus Mistry will visit Georgia with the working group of the networks of Indian hotels to study investment environment on the spot.

The TATA group has already launched several major projects in Georgia. Currently the total amount of the investments made by the respective company alongside with its partners in Georgia is 650 mln U.S. Dollars.

The Tata group comprises over 100 independent operating companies in 7 industries: communications and information technologies, engineering services, supplies, services, technologies, power, consumer products and chemicals.

The group operates in more than 100 countries across six continents. In 2015, the revenue of Tata companies, taken together, was $109 bln U.S. Dollars. These companies collectively employ over 600,000 people.
