Nino Chikovani, President of Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) and representatives of Shida Kartli local self-government, have opened Nebiera dairy plant.
Nebiera company was founded in 2008 as part of UNDP program, but the company had suspended operation for several years. The plant was to ensure educational and production practice components for students of Gantiadi college in Gori, as part of milk processing technology program.
At the same time, Nebiera used to manufacture dairy products, which were mainly sold in Shida Kartli. Starting today the company will continue promotion of vocational education component for students of vocations schools.
Before resumption of operation, Nebiera was registered on the balance of Gori State University, but currently, the company was leased to local entrepreneur Irma Kitriashvili, who pledges to develop dual vocational education. Currently, the plant employs about 15 persons.
Gori Mayor Konstantine Tavzarashvili, Shida Kartli State Governor Kakha Samkharadze, Gori Council chairman David Razmadze and Gori State University principal Giorgi Sosiashvili attended the ceremony.
The plant is member of Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
