The statistics office publishes research into the use of information-communication technologies in the enterprises.
According to the results of the study, 98.6% of enterprises had access to the Internet by January 1, 2018. In addition, the DSL connection (eg xdsl, ADSL, SDSL, VDSL, etc.) was most widely used to secure connection to the Internet – 32.1% and fixed broadband devices (eg optical fiber (FTTH) and cable technologies) 29,0%.
21.5% of the enterprises were using a mobile phone network with broadband (3G, 4G), and 17.5% – other mobile phone connections (eg GSM, GPRS, EDGE, etc.).
44.4% of the employees at enterprises were using an enterprise-owned portable computer or smartphone that provided internet connection (only for enterprise purposes), and the percentage of those enterprises using the website is determined by 40.3%.
The enterprises mainly used social media such as social network (Facebook, Linkedin, etc.) – 38.5%, while 51.5% of enterprises did not use social media at all. The main purpose of the use of social media was to create an image of an enterprise or develop its market (24,4%), and react to client questions, opinions and feedback (22.5%).
