Chinese investors want to grow rapidly renewable forest plantations in Georgia.

Business delegation and Forest Department of Jiangxi Province have submitted a plan at the meeting with executive director of Partnership Fund.

It should be noted, that investors are interested in growing renewable forest plantations, processing of timber and manufacturing of furniture. Bringing of timber processing plant in Georgia is being discussed for exporting furniture on the EU markets.

“Your country is small, but it has the greatest investment potential. Georgia holds an important place on the geopolitical map in terms of trade-economic relations. In addition, the country has free trade regimes with the world’s strongest economies and large markets. Free Industrial Zones and liberal tax regimes in the country grow Georgia’s role”, – Liu Qi , Governor of Jiangxi Province declared.

David Saganelidze, executive director of “Partnership Fund”, focused attention on the transition in a new phase of trade-economic cooperation between the countries.

“A close and quite promising connection is being formed between China and Georgia and it is reflected in joint investment projects as well. Partnership Fund is ready to discuss interesting proposals for the country”, – Saganelidze said.
