Partnership Fund and Chinese investors plan to manufacture quilted coats and jackets in Georgia. The delegation of the government and business sector of Xi’an Province has visited the Fund.
Chinese investors are planning to produce quilted coats and jackets in Georgia. They plan to export the products to the EU, USA and Canadian markets. The company is going to train more than 300 local workers to Chinese textile plants.
According to the preliminary project, export products will be prepared for the famous brands. At the initial stage, special attention will be paid to “Yaya” brand. The products under that brand are being produced in China since 1972 and are exported worldwide. Within the framework of the project more than 300 workers will be trained in famous textile factories from Georgia.
At the meeting, the focus was made on the increasing tendency of the textile industry. Asian countries play an important role in the international textile industry. China has the biggest share of exports to world markets. At the meeting, the sides talked about Georgia’s investment potential and the importance of the country’s geopolitical map after signing free trade agreements with China and the European Union.
It is noteworthy that Chinese largest Jacket and Coat Company satisfies 60% of Chinese market and fulfills orders of world famous brands. To remind, negotiations with the initiative of the Partnership Fund linked to the opening of coat and jacket factory in Georgia are going for several months with the Chinese party.
