Cargo Turnover is Increased to Poti Port, while Decreased to Batumi

Cargo turnover is increased to Poti Port, owned by APM Terminals.

According to the official data, the port processed 2.1 million t cargo through 4 months, the figure is more by 100 000 t comparing to the same period of the previous year.

Growth has been fixed in the processed containers – 92 951 containers have been processed in Poti in January-April instead of 83 624 TEU containers fixed in the previous year. To note, 81% of the processed containers accounts for the Poti Sea Port.

It should be noted that the volume of cargo is declined to Batumi Port and the figure amounts to 1.6 million t (-0.1 million), while the number of containers is grown by 7649 TEU up to 22 030 units.
