Canning factories are beginning to buy up fruits. German baby food manufacturer Hipp has not started buying fruits yet.
The company’s deputy head notes that the harvest is not good, the apples are few, and whether the company will buy up products will be known in two weeks. In the words of Vasil Akhvlediani, Hipp is observing the situation and the prices on export markets and waiting for customers. According to Akhvlediani, Hipp is interested in realizing a new investment project in Georgia and is holding negotiations with the Ministry of Economy, but so far no concrete decision has been made.
Director of the canning factory Kula talks about a good harvest but high prices. Vano Goglidze adds that Kula is preparing for fruit delivery and the process will begin next week.
