Plans of the pharmaceutical company Aversi for a multi-profile clinic project have been stalled, as a result of which, the company is experiencing financial losses.
“Commersant” was told at the company; as they note, until the refugees problem is solved, the 500-bed project will not be launched.
Aversi is waiting for medical personnel to leave the building in order to launch construction on the site of the Infectious Disease Hospital in Tbilisi.
Recall that the company bought the hospital and a center of sepsis in 2009 for $ 12 million 250 thousand.
Aversi founder announced then that the property had been bought jointly with foreign partners.
According to Health Minister David Sergeenko, the project envisaging the opening of the Infectious Disease Hospital was developed two years ago, funds have already been allocated for the construction, however, a territory where the hospital construction should be carried out is occupied by a few pseudo-vulnerable families. For this reason, the medical staff are not able to move from the building that hinders the start of a new clinic building.
“Infectious disease management is a key priority for the state and the project has been developed two years ago , funds for the construction have been allocated, however, a territory where the hospital should be constructed is occupied by a few pseudo-vulnerable families. Permanently we try to negotiate with them and will consider many options, ” – the Minister of Health says.
