After a several-month break Agara Sugar company will resume operation, the company director Alkhan Alizade told Business Course.
Price of raw materials has comparatively declined on international markets and the company was enabled to resume operation.
The director could not specify the date for resumption of production, but supposedly named the first half of June.
The plant employs about 500 workers. Agara Sugar suspended operation in November 2016 because of incapability of competing with imported sugar in terms of prices.
Georgia imports a major part of sugar from Ukraine, Alizade noted.
