Stampesoe, the first Scandinavian restaurant opened in Tbilisi.
It is the first restaurant to have a shop on site, offering homemade foods, jams, pickles, and chutneys. Here, in a cozy environment you will be served with a great combination of Scandinavian and Georgian cuisine, the best European and Georgian wine and what’s most important, you will feel at home, say restaurant representatives.
“Oasis in Tbilisi,” a reviewer on Trip Advisor writes.
“Georgia is well known for its many great restaurants, and many restaurants serving international food just can’t compete. Stampesoe can. Stampesoe with its Scandinavian food is a new concept in Tbilisi. The restaurant is small and cozy. The menu is not long, but can be endlessly varied in different combinations. The friendly staff provides excellent guidance to the food (useful for non-Danes) and all the restaurant’s organic wines and beer. A great place for lunch and dinner alike,” the Trip Advisor user says.
The restaurant owner and manager Tobias Dyreborg told Georgia Today about his experience of working in the food industry of various countries. He says it would be interesting to come to Georgia and see the potential of making Nordic food with organic Georgian products.
Mr. Dyreborg’s ultimate dream is to buy a land plot in Kakheti to grow his own vegetables. As for the restaurant, he also plans to make a small sitting area downstairs and offer home-ground coffee. Stampesoe is located on Lado Asaitiani #56.
