Only two commercial banks record negative profitability coefficient on Georgian banking sector (ROA – return on assets; ROE – return on equity). In the same period of 2016, both commercial banks had positive indicators.
Turkish İşbank started operation in Georgia after it opened a branch in Batumi. The body obtained a banking license in 2012, later it continued operation as an independent player of the market.
Finca microfinance organization was transformed into commercial bank in 2013.
