There are a lot of Questions about Noncore Assets in hands of Commercial Banks

“The key question is of how bank stakeholders may participate in real economy”, National Bank president Koba Gvenetadze noted after Georgian Capital placed shares at London Stock Exchange (LSE).

There are a lot of questions about separation of noncore assets from the banking sector. The NBG is ready to work jointly with the Government in this direction, he said.

“We frequently hear questions about noncore assets. The 2017 annual report comprises detailed information about various practices in various countries. We know that this is a key challenge and we are ready to cooperate with the Government in this respect. This issue refer to bank shareholder’s participation in real economy.

The question is of how they can participate real economy, both physical and corporate stakeholders. It is important that we have delivered all this information in the annual report, which comprises comprehensive overview on various practices worldwide”, Gvenetadze said.
