NBG to Determine New Rate of Monetary Policy

The next meeting of the Monetary Policy Committee of the National Bank of Georgia will be held on October 26 in Tbilisi.

According to the NBG, Koba Gvenetadze, President of National Bank of Georgia will hold a press conference after the finish of Monetary Policy Committee. He will inform the media about the decision of the committee and answer their questions.

Interested entities will be able to watch Koba Gvenetadze’s press conference in the live mode via FACEBOOK page.

The National Bank’s Monetary Policy Committee meets twice a quarter and takes decisions linked to the targeted inflation and determine policy rate. They also adopt other decisions on monetary and credit policy, defined by the Organic Law of the National Bank of Georgia.

The Monetary Policy Committee of the National Bank of Georgia left the refinancing rate unchanged at 7 percent on September 6, 2017.
