National Bank Of Georgia Switches to an Innovative Business-Processing Model

The National Bank of Georgia is introducing a new innovative statistical business processing model in its operations.

Sebstat, system the implementation of which has been successfully on-going in the banking system of Georgia, will in the near future replace the existing excel-based statistics accounting by the modern web-program based statistical accounting.

SWIFT’s marketing manager Jonas Begstrom came to Georgia in order to learn more about Sebstat, NBG’s Press Office writes.

The project supervisor and the author of Sebstat Nana Aslamazishvili introduced Begstrom to the new statistical model. The professional was interested to learn more about the conceptual idea behind the model.

SWIFT representative emphasized that this project will also be interesting for other countries’ central banks.

According to Jonas Bestrom, SWIFT, which cooperates with more than 200 countries in the field of financial organization, is planning to renovate its systems. Hence, learning new information about central banks’ innovative data-collection is essential for the company.

The NBG and SWIFT will continue their cooperation on this subject in the upcoming year.
