In 2015, we should not expect sudden changes in the national currency – Finance Minister Nodar Khaduri states.
“There are many factors that affect the rate of national currency – both internal and external. The government cannot have an effect on external factors – it is primarily the economic situation in neighboring countries, as well as USD exchange rate growth in relation to almost all currencies, including the euro. The ratio of mass of lari in circulation to the amount of dollars is the most significant internal factor. In 2015, we planned the budget deficit at 3.9%, but due to the over -fulfilled budget, deficit turned out to be smaller. We assume that in 2016 the deficit will be below 3%, “- says the Minister.
According to him, in 2015 the government will do everything possible so that the year was more successful for Georgia’s economy than 2014.
