Liberty Bank and Educare Georgia Summarize the Results of One-year Cooperation

On December 27, Liberty Bank and Educare Georgia summarized the results of one-year cooperation. In 2017, Liberty Bank joined the Educare Georgia partners and assisted the organization of Khan Academy in translation and popularization of the platform.
Khan Academy is one of the leading free educational platforms in the world, where video lessons and practical exercises are presented. Educare Georgia provides the translation of the platform into Georgian, which enables Georgian students and teachers to get their information without facing a language barrier. The video lessons are divided by both school classes and topics and subjects. The platform allows the teachers to observe the students’ progress and pay more attention to the issues in which pupils need more assistance.
In 2017, Educare Georgia has created more than 2,000 video lessons of math in Georgian. In the same year, with the efforts of the organization, the Academy was used by 65,000 users from all over Georgia. In addition, mathematics teachers have actively used the Khan Academy in the following cities: Gori, Kutaisi, Rustavi, Borjomi, Badiyauri, Tkheliauri, Daba Zhinvali, Dusheti, Salkhino, Samegrelo, Sergi, Samegrelo, Pasanauri, Dusheti.
In total 375 pupils participated in the project. 11,728 New Issues / Skills were mastered.
Teachers are given a great role in promoting Khan Academy and increasing access to quality education. About 3,000 teachers are employed in Khan Academy Platform in Georgia. Liberty Bank and Educare Georgia have selected 5 successful teachers: Marina Kapanadze, Rustavi – N7 Public School, Ketevan Tkeshelashvili, Tbilisi – Yuji School, Shorena Aduashvili, Tbilisi – MCG, Ioseb Gogichaishvili, Tbilisi – Millennium School, Nino Lomsadze, Tbilisi – Classical gymnasium.
The teachers were awarded with relevant certificates and monetary prizes. The teachers were awarded according to the largest number of students involved, and who showed the greatest progress in the field of skills.
