How Loan Interest Rates Change

In July 2018 the averaged market interest rate on loans made up 12.7%. The rate was the same – 12.7% in May-June period too. The rate has declined by 0.1% year on year.

Averaged interest rate on GEL-denominated loans is 15.8%, including GEL-denominated corporate loans – 11.3% and GEL-denominated retail loans – 19.9%.

Interest rates on GEL-denominated retail loans declined by 0.1%. Interest rates on GEL-denominated loans declined by 0.3% year on year.

Averaged interest rate on foreign currency denominated loans made up 7.8%, including 13% on corporate loans in foreign currency and 7.1% on retail loans in foreign currency. 

Compared to June, corporate loans interest rate (in foreign currency) declined by 0.2%, the rate decreased by 0.3% on retail loans in foreign currency.
