Bank of Georgia to Write Off 200 million GEL Loans

Bank of Georgia plans to pardon 200 million GEL loans, Bank of Georgia director general Kakha Kiknavelidze said.

The bank has already specified the list of the bodies, who will be involved in the mentioned process. Total amount of the pardonable loans is 200 million GEL, Kiknavelidze said.

The process will be completed by the end of 2018, he added.

“Active job is provided in this direction. Both parties take active steps. We have already prepared the full list. Only one obstacle existed, as we did not have the list of persons with disabilities, but now we have already received this list and this transaction will be completed by the end of 2018”, Kakha Kiknavelidze pointed out.
We remind you that the so-called Loans pardoning initiative was proposed by Government of Georgia and this initiative will be implemented and funded by Cartu Foundation.
