Asian Development Bank named TBC Bank as the best partner for the third time in terms of trade financing in Georgia.
The awards ceremony was held in Singapore and over 150 representatives from 17 countries attended the event. The Asian Development Bank has identified 18 best partner banks with which ADB is actively cooperating.
”The Trade Financing Program has revealed most active partners in the world for the third year. The Asian Development Bank’s Trade Financing Program will not be able to get the results that we have, without our partner banks. This is a great opportunity for us to thank the winner banks for partnership and their work. In cooperation with the winners, we jointly contribute to economic growth and job creation,”-Said Steven Beck, Head of the Asian Development Bank’s Trade Financing.
ADB was founded in 1966 and its purpose is to reduce poverty through economic growth and regional integration in the Asian and Oceanian countries. Within the framework of the program, the Asian Development Bank allocated 31.7 billion dollars in 2016 and financed several sectors in different countries.
ADB Trade Financing Program has provided over 10 900 small and medium enterprises with financial support completing 16 000 transactions, since 2009.
